What we like:  The resolution is very high while the image controls are extensive.  The XL H1 is compatible with Canon XL lenses while the compatible jack pack works for multi-cam work in studios.

What we didn’t like so much:  This unit is a bit pricey.  The lens that comes with it is a bit hard to focus manually and it has no true progressive shooting.

The verdict:  This camcorder does it all but is a bit high in price, check best price below.
